These photos were taken in the fall of 1998 in Moscow, Idaho. They were hand
printed on single sheets of photo paper as they are presented here. I thought a lot about
how to display a complex idea or concept using more than one image in a single photo. By
putting more than one image on each photo, the single images are visually bonded in a
strong relationship allowing for direct association between them. Their relationhips
vary with their size, exposure, color, composition, and arrangement. I used the simple idea that there is a direct link between people
and their domiciles. The large image of a "building" is actully the home of the
subjectthe "architecture details" in the smaller photos are the
details of the human subject. |
