Bow lake, because it's shaped like an elbow, I suspect. You can tell by the colors that it is rich with minerals. It's cloudy water appearance is because of glacial flour, really fine rock dust from the glacial movement. Also it is dammed up so that in the winter they can run the chairlifts for the four surrounding resorts by hydroelectric power, thus the lake never freezes completely. | |||
